Although we arrived in Algarve after dark, we were assured that the views of the beach would be spectacular. Â However, we were still stunned by the views.
The pictures below provide a some context to show how dramatic the cliffs are. There are many small, isolated beaches among the cliffs. Â There are also a number of sinkholes (for lack of a better term – if you know what these are called please let me know) that allow you to look down to the water below.Â

The first thing we did was go for a walk on the cliffs and down to the water.  After nine hours in the car the previous day, Züri was particularly excited to run on the beach. Â
I think we are all going to like it here!
