Broadstairs

When we drove to the end of a quiet dark road, we wondered if we were in the wrong place. We selected an inexpensive dog-friendly hotel relatively close to Dover as a place to spend the night before taking the ferry back to France.  By accident, I think we stumbled upon one of the most dog friendly hotels we have encountered.  

We were welcomed by friendly staff who prepared an area for us to sit in the bar/restaurant. The hotel was on the cliffs just above the beach with a huge grassy field and views of the water.  Züri enjoyed running on the grass and beach before reluctantly jumping back in the car for the day’s journey.  

As we drove to the ferry terminal in Dover, we caught a glimpse of Viking Beach with a large viking ship.  We didn’t stop, but it looks like it would be a fun place to visit, especially with kids.
